Amplitude Studios has announced historical turn-based strategy game sequel HUMANKIND II. It will launch for PC via Steam in 2027.
Here is an overview of the game, via its Steam page:
About
Shape a civilization that is uniquely yours in HUMANKIND II. Across the ages, every decision you make will build on what came before, affecting everything from the climate and the very culture of your people.
Found cities, forge alliances, develop technologies, command armies, and lead your people from their earliest settlements into the Modern Age.
HUMANKIND Is Born Again
HUMANKIND II offers a depth of systems that will enable you to forge a world where every corner feels touched by your strategic choices across the ages.
The sequel introduces exciting new progression systems, enhanced visuals, a modernized UI, and a host of general gameplay improvements that have been guided by extensive player feedback and studio experience.
Embrace a New Cultural Journey
In HUMANKIND II, cultural evolution becomes a much deeper journey than ever before. Each Era brings the opportunity to adopt a culture that expands and deepens the identity of your civilization, unlocking exclusive customs through rich cultural progression trees.
As these cultural influences combine, you can create a civilization unlike any other, with unprecedented levels of personalization, consistency, and continuity throughout the ages. Each evolution brings fresh opportunities to redefine your empire’s future: follow the historical path, or diverge from it to create a story entirely your own.
HUMANKIND II also introduces new stories from around the world, from the Saqqaq and the Etruscans to the Scythians and many more, creating a richer and more historically grounded world to explore.
Harness the Power of Nature
Navigate a world shaped by powerful climate changes that transform the strategic map across the ages. Adapt your cities and economy to shifting biomes, protect vital resources, and weigh short-term growth against consequences that could span generations.
Remember: Mother Nature can be your greatest ally or the most ruthless obstacle. Will you seize nature’s gifts, or watch them fade beyond your reach?
