Two Point Museum x DAVE THE DIVER collaboration update now available
Welcome to the Blue Hole!
Publisher SEGA and developer Two Point Studios have released the version 10.0 update for Two Point Museum, which brings MINTROCKET‘s DAVE THE DIVER to the museum’s Digiverse, the companies announced (2). The update is available now for all platforms.
Here is an overview of the update, via SEGA:
You made it just in time, friends. Someone spilt coffee all over an arcade machine, which has only gone and caused a minor temporal distortion in spacetime. Now, strange rifts have opened, leading to other worlds in a place/not-place they’ve named The Digiverse. If you need a reminder of what the Digiverse is, you can read more about the digital phenomenon here. [OG blog link]
We’re thrilled to announce our next Digiverse Rift is in partnership with MINTROCKET and DAVE THE DIVER, where you’ll not only explore an ocean of discoveries, but this time, the temporal spill has gone both ways, and you’ll find Museum goodies in the latest DAVE THE DIVER downloadable content…
So you can curate the deep alongside historic displays, we’ve bundled up two deeply different management games with a catalogue of collectables. We’ve joint forces with DAVE THE DIVER with a 20 percent discounted Steam bundle.
The DAVE THE DIVER Rift is swimming into Two Point Museum right NOW, available for all platforms. So dive deep, curators!
DAVE THE DIVER
Welcome to the Blue Hole!
Hungry guests in your museum? As you’re used to jumping into newly developed Rifts in the very fabric of the universe, an ever-changing, vast, deep body of water is nothing, right?!
Grab some snorkels and dust off your harpoons, as you explore the shifting depths of the Blue Hole to discover a diverse menu of Marine Life.
Alongside new fish for your aquarium, you’ll bring back a few relics of the Sea People. Recreate their underwater village with aquarium decor that will have your new Marine Life exhibits feeling right at home.
And what good is discovering an abundance of marine life if you can’t monetise it for hungry museum-goers?!
As museum managers, you can now establish your very own Bancho Sushi, building the Sushi Bar to satiate guests with fresh fish. By serving an edible exhibit, you’ll turn Marine Life exhibits into sushi. Guests served in the Sushi Bar receive Buzz and go on to make a special donation.
Plus, you can decorate your museum with new Sushi Bar decor items, including a Bancho Lantern, a new potted plant, and more!
Whilst exploring the depths of the Blue Hole, things can get preeeetty dangerous; you might want some spare oxygen for those deeper dives. Oxygen canisters are now available as Cargo Items! Built in the Workshop, these items will equip your experts with all they’ll need to counter (some) of the perils they may encounter.
So, what’s new?
- Experts can now explore the world of DAVE THE DIVER, visiting three Points of Interest in the Blue Hole.
- Collect a diverse menu of Marine Life, with six new exhibits.
- Create a vibe fit to suit the Sea People with new aquarium decorative items.
- Open a brand new business, building your very own Bancho Sushi Bar in your museum and serve fresh fish.
As usual, this update also comes with a load of bug fixes, improvements and optimization changes.
Anniversary Cake and Outfit
It’s a special time for the studio, as very soon, we turn ten! To mark the occasion, there are new Anniversary Items in-game so all Pointians can join in with the celebrations.
Don your Staff with two new anniversary outfits, the Cake Topper and Party Hat. Plus, you can even get your guests involved with the new Anniversary Cake, a self-serve cake display where guests and staff alike can share a slice to increase their Food need.
Choose an Exhibit
A few months ago, we released a blog all about how we take on and action feedback from you, lovely Pointians, and one of your top requests was the ability to set up repeating Expeditions. If you didn’t see that blog piece, we went into detail about how that was technically difficult, and we promised our design team were cooking up something to help.
Well, they’re here to DELIVER. Now, once a Point of Interest reaches max Survey Level, you can select which exhibit you want on the Expedition setup screen. Choosing an Exhibit increases the Expedition’s cost and duration; however, you can be guaranteed to get the exhibit you choose.
Now, the pay-off here is that it doesn’t guarantee the Exhibit’s quality; you still need to use all the tools at your disposal to increase the chances of finding higher-quality Exhibits, but, for anyone looking to complete their Pristine collection, it’s now all the easier to guarantee the exhibit you want.
Twitch Drops
Celebrate our birthday in style, with some throwback items available as Twitch Drops. To earn Twitch Drops, watch your favorite streamers until 16th July to grab these drops celebrating our birthday.
The items can be earned by watching Drop-Enabled streamers play Two Point Museum—you’ll know if a streamer has drop-enabled as it displays in their tags on Twitch!
Watch 15 minutes to earn the Milk Keg, an item you might remember from your campus days. The Milk Keg is a wall-mounted unit that meets guests’ Drink need.
After 30 minutes, you unlock the Leaflet Info stand, reminiscent of the leaflets in Two Point Hospital. This item will inform your guests all about your wonderful exhibits. And last but not least, by watching for 45 minutes, you’ll unlock the Ticket Reception, a throwback to our roots in the hospital again. This works just like a normal ticket desk.
