About
SAND is set in an alternate-history, dieselpunk world on the ruined planet Sophie, where an ecological disaster has evaporated the oceans. All that’s left are humans and their Trampler mechs, titanic mechanical moving beasts that can traverse Sophie’s sprawling wasteland. Working alone or in teams, humanity now scours Sophie’s far-reaching deserts, scavenging for hidden riches and fighting to keep them. For players seeking the thrill of extraction shooters without the brutal learning curve, or survival game fans tired of logging in to find their base raided, SAND offers a fresh alternative.
In SAND’s new server slam playtest, going on now, players will discover deadly new PvE Trampler mechs to face off against, as well as expanded weapons, Trampler customization options, and points of interest. There’s also the new Storm Dive Mode, featuring more risk and even greater rewards alongside a violent storm which progressively shrinks the safe zones on the map, pushing players to a final confrontation against each other with a massive Dreadnought shipwreck to loot as your prize!
Key Features
- Forge Your Fortress, Dominate the Desert – Design your Tramplers from scratch in the Trampler Editor before deploying into the world. Build your very own modular impenetrable fortress that can weather the deadliest of assaults. The only limits are your creativity and will to succeed!
- Squad Up or Go Solo – Get your crew together, or go solo as you embark on expeditions. Deploy into the world, chart your course, and scavenge cities, ruins, shipwrecks and other remnants of a fallen world for loot.
- Multiplayer Dieselpunk Action – Every city looted, shipwreck scoured or ill-timed encounter with fellow scavengers endured might just be your last, so keep your wits about you. Survive encounters with mysterious supernatural forces, fight or talk your way out of confrontations with other players, successfully make it to your extraction point, and escape to the safety of the orbital station with your loot, life and Trampler intact.
- Brave the Dunes – Test your builds and scavenge lower-tier items at your own pace in Voyage Mode, or raise the stakes with a shrinking map and escalating dangers in Storm Dive Mode for higher-tier loot and greater rewards.
- Persistent Progress – Unlike traditional survival games, SAND eliminates the dreaded offline raid; your Trampler extracts with you at the end of each session. Build, fight, extract, repeat – without losing everything while you sleep.
