Here are the details:
LET IT DIE: INFERNO Season 3
There’s fungus among us! Prepare to dive into a season of spore-tacular proportions.
Uncharted Circles of Hell Gate: A fortress rises, its guardians stir, and something evil waits inside.
- A Mysterious Map – A white, shimmering fortress called Yotsuyama Castle has appeared in Hell Gate. Originally an ancient armory, it was converted into a laboratory by the Yotsuyama group to fuse mushroom-based biotech with humans and create superhuman soldiers. Sixty years later, the castle has clawed its way from Hell Gate’s depths, its gleaming walls now composed entirely of fungal mycelium that consumed the whole structure.
- The Kurohatsu Garrison guards Yotsuyama Castle, its soldiers clad in ancient armor enhanced by fungal tech. Among them are the Yotsuyama General and Heavy Sentry, half-dead warriors whose minds have been partially overtaken by rampant fungal growth, leaving them with one purpose: to defend the castle at all costs. Defeat them, and you can claim the Heavy Sentry’s equipment for yourself.
- The Gomamusha boss is a monstrosity born from the super-soldier project, its body and mind completely overtaken by fungal growth. Driven solely by instinct, it attacks any intruder indiscriminately. The fungal dispersal device on its back doubles as a propulsion unit, enabling powerful jumps and explosive-speed slashes. Even Uncle Death steers clear of this guy.
Flesh, Fungus, and Steel, Oh My! Gear up with deadly weapons, battle-ready bodies, fearsome armor, and cosmetics to (quite literally) die for.
- Devastating Weapons – Season 3 brings three additions to your arsenal:
- Metal Whip – Built for crowd control, the Metal Whip deals sweeping attacks that hit multiple enemies at once. Its Deathblow unleashes a rapid barrage of four strikes that brutally pummel foes and deal massive damage.
- Plasma Laser – Aim and fire INFERNO’s newest long-range weapon: a laser that grows in reach and power the more you charge it. It’s high risk, high reward (what isn’t in Hell Gate), so charging it leaves you wide open. Its Deathblow fires a continuous beam for sustained damage that sends your enemy back into the pits of Hell.
- Executioner – An ominous, scythe-like weapon that can chain up to four follow-up attacks after a heavy swing. While it has excellent speed and range normally, its Deathblow launches a slow-moving mass of cursed energy that pierces through Yuckies, rewarding players who line up multiple targets.
- Fresh Meat – Two bodies arrive in Season 3:
- Joe can be acquired through the new Raiders Fund system.
- Inva the alien seizes enemies with her Chronos Lock skill, and she can be acquired by defeating the first boss, Dreamseeker.
- Three Armor Sets – Season 3 introduces three armor sets, each with different gameplay benefits.
- Signalcade Armor – Ripped straight from the closet of Hell Gate’s finest traffic personnel, the reliable Signalcade Armor keeps your stamina topped off so you can weave through the battlefield without breaking a sweat.
- Strong Plated Armor – Inspired by opposing forces of good and evil and once worn by a famous wrestler, this set has particularly high stamina recovery performance.
- Kurohatsu Armor – This set occasionally drops when defeating wandering Yotsuyama heavy sentries. It features a unique trait that increases Deathblow attack power.
Fresh Features Forged in Hell: Not everything in Season 3 wants you dead. Some of it’s on your side!
- Raiders Fund – A new community-driven Kill Coin donation system. Players earn personal rewards across four tiers by donating Kill Coins, while all players contribute toward a shared world goal.
- When players reach the world goal, a special reward is unlocked for everyone.
- Mastery Switch – All previous bodies now have two Mastery types that can be switched between, opening up new build possibilities. New bodies Joe and Inva each have one Mastery.
- Background Music Selection – Set custom music for Iron Perch and exploration. In response to player feedback, 11 tracks from DEATHVERSE: LET IT DIE have been added to Hell Gate.
- River of Souls Clear Event – Players who participate during the Start Dash Event period will earn the Raider Medal: 2nd Era charm. Bodies that clear the event will receive a special color for the starting body.
LET IT DIE: INFERNO is available now for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam.
