Subnautica 2 Early Access sales top two million in 12 hours
One million achieved within the first hour.
Total sales for the Early Access version of Subnautica 2 surpassed two million copies sold within 12 hours of launch, developer Unknown Worlds Entertainment announced. One million of those sales were achieved within the first hour.
Subnautica 2 launched in Early Access for Xbox Series and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store on May 14. It is also available via Game Pass.
The sequel continues to hold the number-one position on Steam’s global top sellers charts across multiple countries.
The game peaked a concurrent player count of over 651,000 across Steam, Epic Games Store, and Xbox Series, with Steam alone reaching a peak of more than 467,000 concurrent players. This is approximately nine times the all-time concurrent player count of the original Subnautica released in 2018.
On Twitch, Subnautica 2 reached more than 413,000 peak concurrent viewers, ranking number-one across all categories. YouTube Live reached more than 109,000 peak concurrent viewers, ranking number-one in the gaming category.
