Large-scale multiplayer space sandbox game SpaceCraft will launch in Early Access for PC via Steam on May 20, developer Shiro Games announced.
“SpaceCraft is about giving players the tools to shape a living, player-driven universe at their own pace,” said Shiro Games CEO Nicolas Cannasse in a press release. “Whether you focus on industry, trade, or exploration, every decision contributes to a larger ecosystem when Early Access begins next month.”
Here is an overview of the game, via Shiro Games:
Step into a vast, seamless universe spanning multiple star systems, where players can freely transition from deep space travel to planetary exploration. Chart your own path through the cosmos, discover new worlds, and use Faster-Than-Light travel to expand your reach across the stars.
Scan planets and asteroid belts to uncover valuable resources, then mine, refine, and transform them into advanced ship components. Trade and/or sell resources to other players while managing production, logistics, and resource flows to grow your operations.
Start small and grow into a major industrial force. Establish planetary bases, automate production lines, and deploy fleets of drones and cargo ships to extract, process, and transport resources across systems. Optimize your operations and scale your network to control the flow of materials across the galaxy.
Form or join Corporations to collaborate with other players, assign roles, and coordinate large-scale operations. Take on contracts, specialize your fleet with modular upgrades, and master interstellar logistics to outcompete rivals, or carve your own path alone.
