Genshin Impact Version Luna VI update ‘Song of the Welkin Moon: Rondo – Augured Homecoming’ launches April 8
Explore the skies and land of northern Mondstadt.
The Version Luna VI update for Genshin Impact, dubbed “Song of the Welkin Moon: Rondo – Augured Homecoming,” will launch on April 8, developer miHoYo announced.
Here is an overview of the update, via miHoYo:
This release introduces players to the vast northern reaches of Mondstadt, featuring new terrestrial areas and the Temple of Space high in the clouds for exploration. Linnea, a fae and naturalist from Snezhnaya, will also join the playable roster in this version. This 5-star Geo Bow wielder is set to bring more tactical depth to the Lunar-Crystallize reaction.
Mondstadt expands further north in Version Luna VI, where lush flower fields give way to the bustling trade at Dornman Port. Hovering high above this land is the mysterious Temple of Space, which houses fragments created by Asmoday, the sovereign of sky and space. Within this temple lie distinct realms inspired by ancient Liyue, Sumeru, and a fusion of various civilizations. Players can use a special interaction mechanic to manipulate and alter the space within these realms to uncover sealed paths and even secrets. By unraveling the mysteries of the Temple of Space, players will have the opportunity to revisit past adventures and gradually learn more about the enigmatic Ruler of Space. Additionally, players can also expect to encounter a new Boss, Watcher: Fallen Vigil, in the wilderness of the Dornman Port area.
Version Luna VI also marks the debut of the 5-star Geo Bow character Linnea, a naturalist and advisor to the Adventurers’ Guild. In combat, Linnea provides robust support to Lunar-Crystallize parties with her ability to convert Hydro-Crystallize reactions into Lunar-Crystallize reactions. By summoning her companion Lumi, Linnea can also increase Lunar-Crystallize DMG dealt while lowering the opponent’s Geo RES. Further, with her Elemental Skill Linnea can deal either continuous off-field Geo DMG or a massive Lunar-Crystallize reaction hit, and also provide partywide healing with her Elemental Burst. In open-world adventure, discoveries of new rare animals and other findings from nature will earn Linnea badges for her backpack.
During Version Luna VI, Linnea makes her debut alongside the returning Chasca in the first phase of the Event Wishes, while players will get another stab at obtaining Nefer and Lauma in the second phase. A Chronicled Wish featuring Fontaine characters will also be held for the first time.
Back in Nod-Krai, the Traveler has been invited to a trade show hosted by the Voynich Guild, where they will try to resolve conflicts sparked by some high-profile merchants while exploring the various activities associated with the trade show. With the help of cutting-edge inventions from all over Teyvat, players can coordinate aerial bombardments in a cooperative challenge, or test their reflexes in a fast-paced, color-coded barrage shooter. Completing these challenges gives players the chance to recruit Jahoda for free.
Meanwhile, Miliastra Wonderland receives a quality-of-life update which increases the capacity of the player lobby. This update also introduces a new special effect editor, as well as enhances skill customization and UI assets, thus further refining the overall gameplay and editing experience for our Craftspeople.
Genshin Impact is available now for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, PC via client and Epic Games Store, iOS via the App Store, and Android via Google Play.
