Crimson Desert ‘Features Overview #3: Life in Pywel’ trailer
A look at some of the things that shape your day-to-day life.
Pearl Abyss has released a new featurette for open-world action adventure game Crimson Desert introducing the day-to-day life in the world of Pywel.
Here are the latest details:
Previous videos highlighted the game’s narrative, regions, exploration, quests, open-world design, combat system and progression mechanics. The newly released video focuses on the world of Pywel and the activities that players can choose to partake in.
The video introduces content available throughout Pywel, designed to support players’ adventures by providing essential resources. Players can fish and hunt to gather cooking ingredients, collect flowers and insects for use in alchemy, and obtain materials for crafting and equipment enhancement through gathering and mining.
Also featured is the Greymane Camp in Hernand, a settlement established by Kliff and his Greymane companions after losing their home to the Black Bears faction, following a vicious attack. Using resources and currency earned through exploration, players can expand the camp’s functionality and turn it into an important foothold in the players’ journey.
Within the camp, players can manage farms and ranch to produce cooking and crafting materials, purchase supplies from a camp vendor, and dispatch reunited companions on missions to acquire resources such as timber, ore, and more. These systems allow players to actively shape the camp’s growth. The preview also highlights character customization options. Players can customize the characters’ appearance using dyes found throughout Pywel or crafted through alchemy, adjusting outfits, hairstyles, and tattoos to match individual preferences.
Cities and villages across the Pywel continent are depicted as being populated by blacksmiths, tailors, merchants, and residents in need of assistance. These NPCs will react to player’s harmful actions, become hostile or issue bounties depending on behavior, bringing another element to interaction with NPCs within the world. Pearl Abyss announced earlier this month via its official social media channels that Crimson Desert has surpassed two million wishlists worldwide.
Crimson Desert is due out for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam on March 19.
