Compile Heart has announced Villion: Code, the recently teased new “school RPG” by Megami Tensei and Persona series co-creator Kouji Okada, the latest issue of Weekly Famitsu reveals. It will launch for PlayStation 5, Switch 2, PlayStation 4, and Switch on May 25 in Japan.
Pricing is as follows:
- Standard Edition
- PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Switch – 8,580 yen

The game is set in a near-future university town built on a floating island in Tokyo Bay, where students and teachers mutated into monsters roam. Dungeons are procedurally generated and take on the form of tube-shaped environments with no ceiling, allowing 360-degree movement in every direction—similar to the classic arcade game Gyruss. Combat features “real-time speed action.”
The game’s staff includes:
- Project Producer: Kouji Okada (ATLUS co-founder, Megami Tensei and Persona series co-creator)
- Scenario: Tadashi Satomi (Persona: Revelations and Persona 2: Innocent Sin / Eternal Punishment scenario writer)
