BlazBlue Entropy Effect X includes Dead Cells and ICEY collaboration content
Play as The Beheaded and ICEY.
BlazBlue: Entropy Effect X will ship with the Dead Cells and ICEY crossover content, originally released as downloadable content for the PC version of BlazBlue: Entropy Effect, built into the game at launch no additional cost, publisher Astrolabe Games and developer 91Act announced. Astrolabe Games clarified to Gematsu that an update is not required to access the content.
Here is an overview of the content, via Astrolabe Games:
The Beheaded, protagonist of Dead Cells, and ICEY, the heroine of ICEY, will both be available as free playable characters at launch. Players can unlock them by completing special crossover stages inspired by their respective titles.
In BlazBlue: Entropy Effect X, The Beheaded’s playstyle faithfully recreates the deep and flexible combat mechanics of Dead Cells. By switching between different weapon loadouts, players can wield a wide variety of iconic weapons from the original game and freely combine attacks to create diverse combat strategies. Meanwhile, ICEY features a completely distinct resource system and visual presentation compared to other characters, with her fully voiced crossover stage recreating the original game’s signature meta-narrative storytelling.
BlazBlue: Entropy Effect is due out for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Switch on February 12. A demo is available now for PlayStation 5 and Switch.
