Farnia Village Kickstarter campaign launched – life simulation game by Rune Factory 4 director
Seeking five million yen in funding.
Shinichi Manabe, the lead programmer of Rune Factory 3 and director of Rune Factory 4, has launched a Kickstarter campaign for Farnia Village, a new life simulation game / action RPG coming to PC via Steam, with hopes of expanding to consoles in the future. It is seeking five million yen (approx. $32,880 USD) in funding.
The game’s staff includes Takanori Tsuji, who wrote the narrative for both Rune Factory 3 and Rune Factory 4; character designers benitama, kannnu, and BOKI simole; and Tomoko Morita of Studio Qareeb, who is composing some of the music tracks.
Manabe will handle most of the game’s development himself—covering everything from coding to modeling, animating, creating effects, the user interface, pixel art, sound effects, and game data—so “it will take some time to complete.” The Kickstarter campaign has an estimated delivery date of September 2028.
