Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor coming to iOS, Android in November
Currently available for Xbox Series and PC.
Following its launch for Xbox Series and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store on September 17, Ghost Ship Publishing and developer Funday Games will release single-player survivor-like auto-shooter Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor for iOS via App Store and Android via Google Play in November, the companies announced. The mobile version is co-developed by Piktiv.
“We’ve realized that Survivor was perfect for smaller, portable devices when we saw how popular the game has become on Steam Deck,” said Funday Games producer Jacob Laurits Besenbacher Kjeldsen in a press release. “It felt only natural to bring the game’s bullet heaven action to mobile, and soon players will be able to rock and stone on the phone wherever they are!”
Here is an overview of the mobile version, via Ghost Ship Publishing:
- Mining Bullet Heaven Action – The survivor-like gameplay allows brave dwarves to dig deep into planet Hoxxes IV and use an increasingly powerful arsenal of weaponry to push back the Glyphid bugs that reside within a range of biomes, ranging from the wondrous Azure Weald to the deadly lava-filled Magma Core.
- Upgrades People, Upgrades – Lay waste to the local fauna and gain experience to level up and become a one-man army. Complete mission objectives to become even stronger, and venture safely to the drop pod as you dive deeper into the planet’s surface.
- Time to Gear Up – With the newly introduced Gear system, players can choose a wide selection of peripherals, including Armor, Weapon Mods, Canisters to change weapon stats, Gadgets to help with collection or mining, or Chips to upgrade the trusty sidekick, Bosco.
- A Seamless Experience – Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor will bring the same hardcore, intense feel of the PC game to mobile devices while making sure it feels natural to play.
