Falcom’s unannounced game for 2026 to be revealed in February
Kyoto Xanadu incoming?
Falcom‘s unannounced new title due out in 2026 will be revealed in February, Falcom president Toshihiro Kondo said in an interview at Taipei Game Show 2026.
“Regarding 2026, as mentioned in the question, we have already decided to release two new titles,” Kondo told Gamer.com.tw, referring to Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter and an unannounced game. “That’s something we haven’t done in several decades. We are fairly confident about that in terms of development progress, and are currently at a stage where this goal appears quite feasible.
“As for the second title aside from Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter, we are planning a major announcement next month [in February]. We intend to make a big reveal.
“This year also marks Falcom’s 45th anniversary, and we hope to build hype around this milestone by announcing stuff in a good pace. So we kindly ask everyone to be patient and stay tuned for further updates.”
While Falcom has not made any direct statements about what its unannounced title for 2026, a New Year’s greeting card suggests it will be the 2024-announced Tokyo Xanadu New Project, which is set in Kyoto.
