Jump Ship renamed Jump Space
Early Access release date announcement set for Gamescom 2025.
Jump Ship, the mission-based cooperative first-person shooter from Keepsake Games, will now be titled Jump Space when it launches in Early Access for Xbox Series and PC via Steam later this summer, the developer announced alongside Coffee Stain Publishing. A release date announcement is planned for Gamescom 2025, which will run from August 20 to 24 in Cologne, Germany.
“We’ve decided to officially name our co-op space epic Jump Space, and we can’t wait to launch,” said Keepsake Games CE Daniel Kaplan in a press release. “We are excited to offer players a way to experience the ultimate space exploration fantasy as they board their very own ship and slingshot into space. As excitement around the game has been building exponentially, so too has our scope and ambition for what is possible for the future of the game—Jump Space better represents the expanse of this potential. We will have more news to share on Jump Space‘s Early Access release date at this year’s Gamescom!”
Here is a brief overview of the game, via Keepsake Games:
Jump Space (former project name Jump Ship) is a mission-based cooperative player-versus-environment [game] in which players can transition seamlessly from crewing their very own space ship to on-foot exploration and space walks. The goal of each mission is to survive with the crew’s ship intact and make the next jump, picking up valuable resources, blueprints and weapons along the way.
First revealed in 2024, Jump Space has seen more than 500,000 players navigate nebulas and explore galaxies during the recent June Steam Next Fest, reaching the “Top 3 Most Played Demos” during the event. As the spacefaring adventure approaches its Early Access release, more than one million players have now wishlisted the game on Steam in anticipation of the title’s release.
