Borderlands 4 release date moved up to September 12; State of Play set for April 30
Over 20 minutes of new weapons, abilities, missions, and more.
Publisher 2K and developer Gearbox Software have moved up Borderlands 4 from its previously announced September 23 release date to September 12, the companies announced. It will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store at launch, with a Switch 2 version to follow later in 2025.
The previously announced Borderlands 4-focused PlayStation State of Play broadcast will also air on April 30 at 2:00 p.m. PT / 5:00 p.m. ET, Sony Interactive Entertainment confirmed. You will be able to watch it on YouTube and Twitch. The broadcast will feature over 20 minutes of new weapons, abilities, missions, and more.
