Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 for PC launches October 13

Inti Creates will release Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 for PC via Steam on October 13, the developer announced. A demo is available now as part of Steam Next Fest.
Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 is currently available for Xbox Series, Xbox One, and Switch, and is coming to PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on December 15.

■ About Azure Striker Gunvolt 3
The Gunvolt series began in 2014 with the digital-exclusive 3DS game Azure Striker Gunvolt. In 2016, Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 continued the story of hero Gunvolt alongside his rival Copen. And now, in 2022, Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 finally picks up where 2 left off as an official sequel.
New protagonist Kirin fights alongside Gunvolt, allowing players to switch characters on the fly, adding a new element to the series’ high-speed 2D action gameplay. Familiar faces will return as “Image Pulses,” a new system that allows players to use characters from Gunvolt’s past in combat with over 150 varieties available!
Thanks to the cooperation of Keiji Inafune (LEVEL5 comcept CCO), series Executive Producer/Action Supervisor, Inti Creates has evolved Gunvolt 3’s action to exceed the expectations of modern players on the Nintendo Switch platform. Players will be blown away by the speedy and precise action on display in Azure Striker Gunvolt 3!
■ Fully Featured Release for Steam
Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 comes to the Steam Store at full parity to currently released versions of the game with the latest patch revision. This includes the first two updates in the Gunvolt 3 Update Campaign which brought Trial Mode, D-Nizer Mode, and a brand new boss fight to the game.
Of course, the Steam version will also receive more free updates alongside the console versions, including an extensive new story campaign with Epilogue ATEMS. The PC version also features 120 frames per second support, and all previously released downloadable content will be available day one!

From October 3 to 10, Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 will be participating in the Steam Next Fest event for upcoming games. Visit the Steam Store page to download an exclusive demo for the event!
In the Next Fest demo, you’ll be able to play from the beginning of the game up to the mission “Holy Night XIII.” When you purchase the full game, your character levels and collected Image Pulses will carry over!

Collect enough “Image Chips” to create “Image Pulses” and give form to Gunvolt’s memories. Image Pulses allow you to summon comrades and rivals from Gunvolt’s past to attack, grant abilities, and more. Over 150 different Pulses exist to be collected, giving players exciting rewards for taking on and replaying Gunvolt 3‘s challenges.
A Near-Future Dystopian Story that Unfolds While You Play
As the world’s only Adept with the ability to seal others’ powers, Kirin dispatches on a mission from her organization, Shadow Yakumo, to deal with the one-and-only Gunvolt. The Adept once known as the Azure Striker, Gunvolt has transformed into a “Primal Dragon” and been sealed behind 1000 sacred swords.
As the story progresses, more and more fascinating characters take the stage, delivering fully voiced dialogue without stopping the high-paced action thanks to the Story Mode+ system.
Characters will talk and banter during gameplay, allowing their personalities to shine and the story to develop without diluting the pure action gameplay.
And for the first time in the Gunvolt series, English-speaking fans can enjoy the real-time Story Mode+ conversations without taking their eyes from the action!
