Famitsu Sales: 9/12/22 – 9/18/22 [Update]

Famitsu has published its estimated physical game software and hardware sales data for Japan for the week of September 12, 2022 to September 18, 2022.

Dragon Quest X: Rise of the Five Tribes Offline was the highest selling new release of the week, moving 143,836 units for Switch, 48,100 units for PlayStation 4, and 28,371 units for PlayStation 5 for a total of 220,307 opening retail sales.

Splatoon 3 for Switch was still the highest selling overall game of the week, moving an additional 506,610 copies in its second week of sales.

On the hardware side, the Switch family sold 127,558 units, the PlayStation 5 family sold 11,180 units, the Xbox Series family sold 14,077 units, and the PlayStation 4 family sold 12 units. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles continue to face stock issues.
