Nippon Ichi Software has released new information and screenshots for Yomawari 3 introducing some of the horror action adventure game‘s areas, including the school, shopping district, ship, and graveyard.

■ “Memories” Lead the Protagonist to the Town at Night
Yomawari 3 is an action game in which you explore the town at night. The protagonist wanders the town at night in search of the “memories” that are the key to breaking the curse placed upon her.
The hints to finding these memories are everyday lost items familiar to the protagonist. By taking an item into her hand, she can faintly recall the memories she lost. If you go to the place you saw in your memory, you might learn something new. Relying on the hints from her recovered memories, the protagonist enters the town at night in search of “important memories.”
—The protagonist is a child who enters the town at night in search of the “memories” that are the key to breaking the curse placed upon her.
—Collect items “familiar to the protagonist” to explore more locations.
—If you try to enter an area without first getting a hint from an item, the Human-Faced Bird will block your path forward.
■ The School in the Dead of Night
—Tall, Faceless Man
A creature said to wield a sickle in its long arms, who chases after the protagonist. Its pursuit will not cease until you successfully manage to escape.
While this skeleton model from the science lab might seem normal at first, rumor has it that “it moves when you’re not looking.”
Empty classrooms, hallways lit red by the light of a fire hydrant. In the school as silent as death, you will pursue someone’s diary exchanges.
—On the scraps of paper you can find at the school are a diary exchanges between two people.
—The diary exchanges contain rumors about the frightening spirits that lurk the school. Is it fiction? Or could it be truth…?
■ The Shopping District with Barking Echoes
A giant spirit posted up in the shopping district. It is so big that it blocks the road. It stares you down as if to prevent you from approaching.
A shopping district with a deserted atmosphere. Stray dogs are gathered everywhere, constantly barking at empty space.
—Dogs bark everywhere in the shopping district. When approached, they do not react—they only continue to bark at empty space.
—This dogs blocking this road prevent you from moving forward. If something can arouse their interests, you might be able to get them to move.
■ The Abandoned Ship
A spirit that pops up from puddles of water. It moves toward the protagonist while shaking and erratically shifting its shape.
On-board the ship left broken and covered in darkness. For some reason, your flashlight and watch go crazy while on the ship.
—An old camera you find on-board the ship. It can use a bright flash for just an instant. It might be useful on your journey.
—Smoke bombs emit a bright light. It goes out after some time, but is a valuable source of light on-board a dark ship.
—A note left behind by someone who seems to be the ship’s captain. It says that there is “something” outside of the ship.
■ The Forgotten Graveyard
—The Three Spirits
Three spirits remain sitting in a corner of the graveyard, blocking the road.
A graveyard left to ruin with no one to mourn. The spirits that haunt the graveyard, as if to protect its neglected graves, stare you down as if trying to tell you something.
—A spirit clings to a neglected grave. It remains motionless, as demanding something.
—A spirit stands still in front of an out-of-use incinerator. Could there be something inside?
