Take-Two Interactive to acquire Zynga
Deal valued at $12.7 billion.Take-Two Interactive will acquire Zynga in a deal valued at $12.7 billion, the companies announced. The acquisition is expected to close during the first quarter of Take-Two’s fiscal year 2023, which ends June 30, 2022.
According to Take-Two Interactive, this “transformative combination” establishes it as “one of the largest and most diversified” mobile games publishers in the industry.
Zynga’s portfolio includes CSR Racing, Empires & Puzzles, FarmVille, Golf Rival, Hair Challenge, Harry Potter: Puzzles & Spells, High Heels!, Merge Dragons!, Toon Blast, Toy Blast, Words With Friends, Zynga Poker, and more.

As we combine our complementary businesses and operate at a much larger scale, we believe that we will deliver significant value to both sets of stockholders, including $100 million of annual cost synergies within the first two years post-closing and at least $500 million of annual Net Bookings opportunities over time.”
