The Switch version of River City Saga: Three Kingdoms will launch via Nintendo eShop on December 16 in Japan for 3,740 yen, publisher Arc System Works and developer APlus Games announced.
As previously announced, PlayStation 4 and PC (Steam) versions of River City Saga: Three Kingdoms will follow sometime during or after April 2022.
Arc System Works also shared information on the game’s bonus mode, “Record of Three Kingdoms Heroes: Red Cliffs Chapter.” This four-player cooperative mode is a traditional belt-scroll action game with simple controls and exhilarating battles. Players must defeat the enemies that appear throughout each stage, followed by a boss battle.
Ally attacks can also be switched on or off, which is recommended for players who want to enjoy the mode with friends. There is also a leaderboard, hidden stages, exclusive playable characters, CRT TV-style display, and more. In total, there are 10 stages and 12 playable characters. At launch, multiplayer is only supported through single Joy-Con use.
