Konami to publish shoot ’em up CYGNI: All Guns Blazing

Konami will publish KeelWorks-developed twin-stick vertical scrolling shoot ’em up CYGNI: All Guns Blazing for console and PC via Steam, the companies announced.
Specific consoles for CYGNI: All Guns Blazing have yet to be announced, but KeelWorks previously said it hopes to release PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series versions.
“We’re very excited to announce our partnership with KeelWorks,” Konami development strategy manager Richard Jones said in a press release. “They’re a young, talented studio and it’s a real honor to work with them on such a great project as CYGNI. From the first time we played it, we knew it embodied the DNA of classic Konami games and one of our production program goals is to work on games that evoke the spirit of those classics. CYGNI‘s high octane gameplay, stylish design, and beautiful graphics feel like a perfect modernization of the shoot ’em up.”
KeelWorks founder and CEO Meher Kalenderian added, “As a small indie company, KeelWorks was in need of an investment to grow its team and dedicate its full attention and time to the development of its first venture, CYGNI. Of all the publishers we spoke to, our communication with Konami was different from the start and it stood out among the rest. With a long and wide-ranging history of work on classic shoot ’em ups, Konami immediately recognized the direction in which CYGNI was heading and decided to bet on its potential outcome.
