This Week's Japanese Game Releases: Aleste Collection, Earth Defense Force: World Brothers, more

Aleste Collection and Earth Defense Force: World Brothers for PlayStation 4 and Switch are the highlights of this week’s Japanese video game releases.

Developed by M2, Aleste Collection includes the shoot ’em ups Aleste (1988, Sega Mark III), GG Aleste (1991, Game Gear), GG Aleste II (1993, Game Gear), Power Strike II (1993, Sega Master System), and the all-new GG Aleste 3, developed for Game Gear specifications. Read more about the collection here.

Earth Defense Force: World Brothers is a third-person action shooter set in a 3D voxel world torn apart by the destruction of alien invaders. Players can build their own four-member Earth Defense Force unit of soldier classes from across the series to fight against the various enemies that have appeared throughout the franchise thus far, including Invaders, Foreigners, Primers, Ravagers, and Aggressors.
