Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis

Sega will host a PC closed beta test for Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis in Japan from late January 2021 to early February, the company announced.

Two closed beta tests are planned. The first test is for users who have already played Phantasy Star Online 2. Players can use their character data from Phantasy Star Online 2 during the test.

Applications are available now at the Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis official website and will close on January 4, 2021 at 23:59 JST. 50,000 users will be accepted. To apply, you must live in Japan, have an account that has already played Phantasy Star Online 2, and have a PC that meets the closed beta test minimum requirements.

Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis is due out in 2021 for Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC in North America, and for PlayStation 4, PC, and the cloud (Switch and PC) in Japan. Read more about the game here and here. Watch the latest gameplay footage here.
