Does the PlayStation 5 Version Grant Access to the PlayStation 4 Version?

The PlayStation 5 versions (digital or physical) of WRC 9 only gives you access to the PlayStation 5 version of the game.

The PlayStation 5 version of WRC 9 will be playable in 4K resolution at 60 frames per second. It will also utilize the DualSense wireless controller to improve the feedback provided by different road surfaces, allowing players to “experience the most realistic driving systems yet and feel the difference between asphalt, gravel. and snow, as well as the direction of impacts.” The triggers have also been utilized to provide more feedback, reacting to the vehicle’s condition such as making acceleration harder when the car is damaged.

WRC 9 first launched for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via the Epic Games Store on September 3. It will also be available for Xbox Series and Switch “at a later date.” (This is mentioned in today’s press release despite the Xbox Series version previously appearing on Microsoft’s Xbox Series launch titles list.)
