Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War launches November 13 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, this holiday for PS5 and Xbox Series X

Cross-gen bundle includes both current- and next-gen versions for $70.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Battle.net on November 13, publisher Activision and developers Treyarch and Raven Software announced. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions will follow this holiday, “depending on when consoles are available to consumers.”

The game will be available in the following editions:

Physical Current-Gen Standard Edition ($59.99)

  • Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War game
    • PlayStation 4 version plays on PlayStation 5 via backward compatibility at launch. PlayStation 4 version will have an option to upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version through the PlayStation Store. Please note: The PlayStation 4 disc must be inserted into the PlayStation 5 to access the digitally upgraded PlayStation 5 version of the game.
    • Xbox One version plays on Xbox Series X via backward compatibility at launch. Xbox One version cannot be upgraded to the Xbox Series X version. Please note: Please see the information below regarding the Xbox Series X version as part of the digital Cross-Gen Bundle.

Digital Current-Gen Standard Edition ($59.99)

  • Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War game
    • PlayStation 4 version plays on PlayStation 5 via backward compatibility at launch. PlayStation 4 version will have an option to upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version through the PlayStation Store.
    • Xbox One version plays on Xbox Series X via backward compatibility at launch. Xbox One version will have an option to upgrade to the Xbox Series X version through the Microsoft Store at launch.

The next-gen physical standard edition includes Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and will support features like higher frame rate, hardware-based ray-tracing, shorter load times, and more on next-gen consoles.

  • Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War game
    • PlayStation 5 version includes the PlayStation 5 version of the game on disc. The PlayStation 5 Standard Edition works on the PlayStation 5 console with a disc drive. This version of the game will not operate on a discless PlayStation 5. For a version of Black Ops Cold War that is compatible with the discless PlayStation 5, please refer to the digital Cross-Gen Bundle.
    • Xbox Series X version includes both the Xbox Series X and Xbox One versions of the game on disc.
