Nioh 2 for PlayStation 4 and My Hero One’s Justice 2 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Switch are the highlights of this week’s Japanese game releases.
Set prior to the events of the original Nioh, Nioh 2 is an action RPG that puts players in the role of a half-human, half-supernatural Yokai warrior. Set in Sengoku-era Japan and the Dark Realm, which are both plagued with demons, players must utilize their weapons and skills, including the ability to transform into a full Yokai, to survive.
My Hero One’s Justice 2 follows up on the 2018-released original 3D arena fighting game with 18 new playable characters, bringing the full roster to 41 characters. Other features include Mission Mode, where you can scout various characters to your own agency to take on missions with your preferred team; Arcade Mode, where you can enjoy original battles and dialogue between each character and their opponents; Player Customize, where you can edit your online player card; and Story Mode, where you can enjoy both hero and villain stories.
