The Resident Evil 2 remake has surpassed five million units in sales, outselling the original Resident Evil 2 at 4.96 million sales, Capcom announced.
Resident Evil 2 launched for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in January 2019. The original Resident Evil 2 launched for PlayStation in January 1998.
If you missed it earlier today, Capcom announced a remake of Resident Evil 3 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC due out on April 3, 2020.
