Yo-kai Watch 4 has a GeGeGe no Kitaro cameo

Yo-kai Watch 4: We’re Looking Up at the Same Sky will feature a cameo from GeGeGe no Kitaro‘s Kitaro, the latest issue of Weekly Famitsu reveals.

Kitaro seems to appear in a guest role—not as someone pivotal to the main story.

GeGeGe no Kitaro is a yokai-themed Japanese manga series created in 1960 that ran for nine years. It has since been adapted into seven different anime series, the latest of which began airing in April 2018 and is still ongoing.
