Sumikko Gurashi: Gakkou Seikatsu Hajimerun Desu

Nippon Columbia has announced Sumikko Gurashi: Gakkou Seikatsu Hajimerun Desu (Sumikko Gurashi: School Life Begins) for Switch. It will launch on July 18 in Japan for 5,800 yen.

Sumikko Gurashi: Gakkou Seikatsu Hajimerun Desu is a “Sumikko communication” game where the goal is to prepare special classrooms like a science or music rooms, as well facilities like a gymnasium or pool, for the Sumikko to start playing school in a school that is no longer used. The game features over 100 types of furniture, which can be placed in the school to the Sumikko’s delight.

In the school you build, you can poke your nose into the comical, laid-back school life of the Sumikko. From eating their lunch in class before lunchtime, to being made to stand in the hallway, the game offers various forms of Sumikko entertainment.

There are also 186 types of costume items for you to dress up the Sumikko, including student uniforms and sailor suits, and jackets and white robes like those worn by teachers. Roles change depending on the clothes you wear, such as becoming a teacher.

Various additional elements are being prepared, such as eight club activity-themed mini-games, a a fortune-teller corner to see affinity among friends, and more.

Physical copies of Sumikko Gurashi: Gakkou Seikatsu Hajimerun Desu will include a survey that consumers can fill out and send in by August 19 to receive a special key chain.
