The next Assassin’s Creed game is titled Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, according to French video games website Jeux Video Live, which posted a photo of an official key chain featuring the name of the new game.
The key chain itself is of what appears to be a Greek helmet, which suggests the game will take place in Greece.
Ubisoft has yet to officially announce a new entry in the Assassin’s Creed series. The latest entry, Assassin’s Creed Origins, launched for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in 2017.
Update 1:15 p.m.: Kotaku is reporting that it has heard from three people who have played the game, as well as several more who have heard about it secondhand, that Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is indeed set in Greece and will introduce dialogue options to the series, as well as let players choose between a male or female protagonist (although the builds Kotaku heard about did not feature Bayek or Aya from Assassin’s Creed Origins). Two of those sources told Kotaku that Assassin’s Creed Odyssey will launch during Ubisoft’s 2019 fiscal year, which ends on March 31, 2019.
