Xenoblade Chronicles 2 for Switch highlights this week’s Japanese game releases. The anticipated open-world sequel is set in the world of Alrest, where players will follow a boy named Rex and a living weapon known as a Blade named Pyra as the two search for Elysium, the ultimate paradise for humanity.
In the anime department, Attack on Titan 2: Future Coordinates for 3DS and Little Witch Academia: Chamber of Time for PlayStation 4 are launching. The former is what looks to be a much-improved sequel, complete with multiple modes and a Danganronpa collaboration. The latter is a part-Luna Nova Academia exploration and part-side-scrolling beat ’em up. If you’d rather try it first before buying, a demo is launching in early December.
In the remasters department, there’s The Game Paradise: CruisinMix for PlayStation 4 and PC, and Resident Evil Revelations for Switch. PS Vita is getting several new otome visual novels with Gakuen Club: Himitsu no Night Club, Starry Sky ~Winter Stories~, and Usotsuki Shangri-La. And 3DS also has a few titles, headlined by Kirby: Battle Royale.
Also new this week is the latest entry in Koei Tecmo‘s Nobunaga’s Ambition series, which is the first all-new entry to appear on Switch. It is also launching on PlayStation 4 and PC.
