New direct-feed footage included.

Dragon Quest XI

Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan Asia and Square Enix have released a new set of Dragon Quest XI: In Search of Departed Time special videos featuring Japanese actor and singer Takayuki Yamada.

The first video features Yamada, who has appeared in a number of PlayStation advertisements in the past, playing Dragon Quest XI in his living room, unable to believe the visual fidelity of the latest entry in the series, excited to the point where has delusions, and reminiscing on his childhood.

The second video features both Yamada and Dragon Quest series creator Yuji Horii, who play the game together while talking to each other. Much to Yamada’s joy, Horii confirms that there are various Puff-Puffs in Dragon Quest XI.

Dragon Quest XI: In Search of Departed Time will launch for PlayStation 4 and 3DS on July 29 in Japan. A Switch version is also planned, but has yet to be shown or dated.
