Kingdom Hearts: Unchained χ update Kingdom Hearts: Union χ announced [Update]
Due out in Japan in late March.Square Enix has announced Kingdom Hearts: Union χ (Union Cross), a version update to Kingdom Hearts: Unchained χ (Unchained Chi) launching in Japan in late March.
The update adds a “Union Cross” mode where up to six players can take on enemies together in multiplayer quests, as well as new story chapters and an origin story described as a ‘must play’ for fans of the Kingdom Hearts series.

Update 1:00 p.m.: Square Enix has confirmed Kingdom Hearts: Union χ for release in the west. The free update will arrive in April with a new “Union Cross” multiplayer mode and more ways to customize the player’s avatar.

With Kingdom Hearts: Union χ, players can create teams of six from their party members or through a matchmaking feature to fight hordes of Heartless enemies and powerful bosses. Players can also take on quests of increasing difficulty as well as unique new missions. To help these teams of friends communicate with each other, the game will now include emotes and text bubbles. Players will encounter both familiar and new faces as the story of the Unions continues to unfold, and the new “Theater Mode” will allow players to relive the drama and rewatch cutscenes.
Fans can pre-register for the update at the official website to obtain exclusive smartphone wallpapers and in-game rewards. Players will also receive in-game presents by logging in after the update.
