Nintendo to air Switch ad during Super Bowl LI
Nintendo's first-ever Super Bowl advertisement.Nintendo will air its first-ever Super Bowl advertisement on Sunday, February 5, and it will feature Switch and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, the company announced.
The TV version of the advertisement will run for 30 seconds, while a 90-second extended version is available online. The ad features the new song “Believer” by Imagine Dragons.
The extended cut showcases Switch in a variety of locations where home video games are not traditionally played, from a classroom to a kitchen to a laundromat. It also shows a number of upcoming single- and multiplayer games for the system, including The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, 1-2 Switch, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Arms, Splatoon 2, Just Dance 2017, and Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers.
Both Switch and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild are due out on March 3. Switch will retail for $299.
