PlayStation Awards 2016 to be live streamed on YouTube

Annual awards ceremony set for December 13.

PlayStation Awards 2016

As it does every year, Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan Asia will live stream this year’s PlayStation Awards on December 13 at 17:00 JST. The annual ceremony is held to honor the top-selling games across the Japan and Asia regions.

The awards will be live streamed on YouTube. A pre-show will be hosted an hour earlier, at 16:00 JST, on YouTube, Fresh! by AbemaTV, and LINE Live.

The PlayStation Awards are generally strictly an awards show. Don’t expect anything in terms of announcements. The only recently exception to this was in 2014, in which Sony used the PlayStation Awards as a platform to announce the PlayStation 4 20th Anniversary Edition.
