■ Story

Musou Stars

A certain world that has long prospered by the power of a miraculous “spring”—.

Now, it is on the verge of destruction. The king who had been controlling the power of the spring suddenly died, and the spring died along with him. The surviving queen, in order to save the world, tells her daughter of an old legend.

“When the spring loses power and the world faces destruction, a hero will descend from a different world. The hero, who gives his own power to the shrine, does not revive the spring. He who guides the hero, who becomes king after the coronation ceremony, will bring the world great prosperity.”

In accordance with her mother’s words, the princess attempts a ritual to summon a hero from another world. However, its power runs wild at very end. And the heroes it summons are scattered across various places.

And then—.

Before each bewildered hero, who lost their way in this unknown world, someone appears seeking cooperation. However, it was not only that princess. There are three people that their sights set on the royal throne.

Thus, the heroes are divided into three factions and made to compete…

■ Action Scenes

The actions of Musou Stars are the same as previous Musou titles. The Square button and Triangle button are used in combination with one another to perform a variety of actions. Moreover, players can enjoy actions that make the best of each character and participating title’s characteristics.

Sanada Yukimura

Musou Stars

Sanada Yukimura has a new action where he thrusts his cross-shaped spear and fires a swirl of flames. Following an ally’s standard attack, launch the enemy with your spear.

Zhao Yun

Musou Stars

Zhao Yun has a new action where he attacks the enemy with a dragon-shaped light. The dragon comes flying forward after significantly mowing down its surroundings. In Dynasty Warriors 8, Zhao Yun can use his Aerial Musou Ranbu “Dragon Wave,” but in Musou Stars, you can unleash it as a cooperative action.

Musou Stars

Oka can perform an upward slice attack with her “True Oni Slicer.” Among the various worlds that are mixed together, she may also once again encounter the enemies from her origin world of Toukiden.

Musou Stars

Sophie can use the familiar “God’s Gift” item. Additionally, with the item’s effect, sea urchins will come raining down from the sky and significantly blow back the enemy. Sophie can also perform direct attacks with her staff and retains her design from the original game.

Musou Stars

Millennia can use her “Pendulum” trap to slice and tear through enemies while blowing them back with a pendulum made of two giant blades. She also has the Trapmobile special move “The Scarlet Express,” which sucks in the enemy and spits them out through its chimney towards the bell atop the train.

Ryu Hayabusa

Musou Stars

Ryu Hayabusa can perform an upward slice attack using his familiar “Dragon Sword.” He can use techniques such as his “Izuna Drop,” where he grab the enemy in the air and does a spinning slam to the ground.

■ Event Scenes

Musou Stars

These are character dialogue scenes. You’ll be able to see a side of each character that you don’t see in battle, as well as enjoy dialogue between characters that go beyond the boundaries of each participating title. There are event scenes both before and after battle, which range from topics such as the battle’s developments to Sanada Yukimura inviting Ryu Hayabusa out for a drink. Experience the individual personalities of each character as you progress through the story.

In related news, Famitsu is holding a survey asking users which characters and game systems they would like to see appear in Musou Stars.
