Hunger developer Tarsier Studios has announced Statik, a virtual reality puzzle mystery game for PlayStation VR.
In Statik, players join Dr. Ingen and his assistant Edith “on a journey to unravel the complexities of the human mind.” You’ll awaken to each new day with a “unique, hand-mounted puzzle device” to solve that requires use of your brain, eyes, and ears to solve.
“We wanted to develop a game that felt both fun and substantial,” Tarsier’s Dave Mervik said on the PlayStation Blog. “Something that is more than just a novelty. It took a lot of very strange late-night discussions to come up with the concept for Statik, but we feel that we’ve found something that achieves our goals… and adds a few extra things that we’ll pretend we meant all along!”
Statik will be playable at E3 in Los Angeles from June 14 to 16, and at “as many events as possible” after that. A release date was not announced.
