Yakuza: Kiwami

Sega has released an eight-minute story trailer for Yakuza: Kiwami, its upcoming PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 remake of the original Yakuza.

The publisher also announced that retired Japanese judoka Shinichi Shinohara will appear as a guest in the game. Protagonist Kazuma Kiryu acts as Shinohara’s tour guide in Kamurocho, and when he’s not stimulated enough by the city’s red light district, he brings him to an “underground arena” where men do ruthless battle. However…

Due out in Japan on January 21, the remake features a number of additional and updated scenes, as well as new and updated systems, including the ability to fight Majima anywhere, new battle styles, and new mini-games like “Insect Queen Female King.”

First-print copies of Yakuza: Kiwami will include a demo for Yakuza 6.
