Time Crisis 5 announced for arcades

Gun game sequel planned for launch in March 2015.

Time Crisis 5

Bandai Namco has announced Time Crisis 5 for Japanese arcades.

The gun game’s basic system of pushing a pedal to take cover and shooting away from the screen to reload remains in tact, however, a new second pedal will allow players to move around to the side of the enemy to attack, rather than remain in one spot.

For example, if an enemy is carrying a shield and is impossible to strike from the front, the player would push the second pedal to move to the side, thereby able to attack him.

Additionally, by pressing a button on the side of the light gun, players can switch from handgun to shotgun to grenades, and such.

The game will hit Japanese arcades in March 2015. It will launch with three stages, but that number is set to double before the year ends.
