Hajime no Ippo: The Fighting

Bandai Namco has released the first set of screenshots from its upcoming Hajime no Ippo: The Fighting PlayStation 3 game.

The screenshots show Ippo Makunouchi, the Kamogawa Gym’s featherweight pro boxer protagonist of the series, as well as Kawahara Gym’s counter-skilled Ichiro Miyata, Naniwa Gym’s aggressive Takeshi Sendo, and Kamogawa’s undefeated Mamoru Takamura. You’ll also get a look at the manga-like movie scenes, which aim to reproduce the series’ key drama in fully voiced scenes.

Outside the screenshots, Bandai Namco announced that first-print run copies of the game will include four downloadable costumes.

The game is due out in Japan on December 11.
