Earth Defense Force 2 Portable V2 Japanese box arts and first-print bonuses revealed

Three different box arts for November-due PS Vita update.

D3 Publisher has revealed the Japanese box arts and first-print bonuses for Earth Defense Force 2 Portable V2.

The PS Vita update of PSP’s Earth Defense Force 2 Portable adds enhanced graphics, the Air Raider class introduced in Earth Defense Force 2025, four-player online play, co-op across all 78 missions, and over 400 weapons.

Standard Version (5,200 yen)

First-print run copies include the land soldier-exclusive weapon “Sting Shot,” a shotgun with high penetrating power that can strike several enemies at once.

Double Pack (6,980 yen)

The Double Pack includes two copies of the game, each with its own box art.

The first box includes the Pale Wing-exclusive “Spark Lancer” weapon, a laser lance good for shocking enemies at close range.

The second box includes the Air Rider-exclusive weapon “88mm Support Cannon.” Players can request supporting bombardment fire from an 88mm cannon circling the skies, which can be fired multiple times at the discretion of an Air Raider unit, making it possible to attack more than once with it with next to no hit to Merit Points.

Earth Defense Force 2 Portable V2 is due out on November 27 in Japan.
