Zeno Clash developer announces Abyss Odyssey

No, not Abe's Oddysee. Stop misreading things!

Abyss Odyssey

The next project from Zeno Clash and Rock of Ages developer ACE Team is Abyss Odyssey, a procedurally generated action adventure game with fighting game mechanics for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.

Due out this summer under the Atlus publishing arm, the side-scroller offers three playable warriors—”the bold Katrien, the tortured specter Ghost Monk, and the ethereal Pinocoya”—as well as the ability to play as almost every enemy in the game.

Both the hero and enemy characters each have their own “complex set of moves.” Combat is at the game’s core, so ACE Team is specifically focused on implementing fighting game mechanics, including dodge-cancels and other techniques.
