Customize your battle UI in Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment

Latest detail and screenshots on upcoming PS Vita game.

Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment

Namco Bandai has released new details and screenshots on Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment, coming to PS Vita in Japan on April 24.

  • Sachi (CV: Saori Hayami) – A girl with a timid character and a member of the Moonlit Black Cats guild, which Kirito was once part of. It is unknown why Sachi “exists’ in this world.
  • Kibaou (CV: Seki Tomokazu) – One of the players who participated in the first floor boss fight. He has a Kansai dialect. He has a prejudice against beta testers, and was the first to call Kirito a “Beater.”
  • Argo (CV: Shiori Izawa) – A valuable information broker in Aincrad. She got her name, “Argo the Mouse,” based off her appearance. Like Kirito, she was also a beta tester.

Other Players

There are various other players living in Aincrad. Since you can link parties like in the previous game, you can enjoy adventuring together with other players.

Battle UI

Judge the battle’s progress with the newly changed user interface. You can set shortcuts and select and use skills. You can make edits so battling in your own style is easy. Since you can deploy skills and items wherever you like, customization becomes an important element. Of course, you can also play with a simple setup, but players looking for a more advanced setup should definitely customize.

Lisbeth’s Armor Shop

Lisbeth’s armor shop is opening a new branch in Sophia. Like the previous game, the shp can be used to enhance weapon and create weapons, so long as you have the necessary items.

Sword Skills

Kirito can equip 10 types of weapons. Each weapon has its own operation and motion, so choose one that’s good for fighting.

☆ Dagger
・One-handed sword
・Curved katana
★ Rapier
・Dual wielding swords
・One handed club
・Two handed axe
・Two handed sword

★ Asuna’s Main Weapon

A weapon with overwhelming firepower and handling, it shaves down enemy’s HP easily. It does the most damage with consecutive attacks, it’s easy to connect in co-op, and it’s very quick. On the other hand, it is a primarily offensive weapon so it’s defense is weak, leaving a high risk for counterattacks. When combined with the burst attack, the risk is even greater.

☆ Silica / Leafa’s Main Weapon

An easy to handle weapon without quirks. It also co-ops easily, and is the ideal weapon for beginners, but it’s fault is that it’s too average and not particularly strong. It is low risk and is good for multiple situations.

Hollow Area

Adventure into a new world, the “Hollow Area.” The Hollow Area is a giant hole existing in the sky. A mysterious dungeon lurks deep in the giant hole. And there’s something deep within that boundless space. In the dungeon you’ll find flying monsters and various traps waiting for you.
