Tokyo New World Record announced for PS Vita

Latest 3D dungeon RPG from the makers of Demon Gaze.

Demon Gaze developer Experience is developing Tokyo New World Record: Operation Abyss for PS Vita, this week’s Famitsu reveals.

A 3D dungeon RPG, Tokyo New World Record follows a six character party and is tied to the same world as Experience’s Labyrinth Cross Blood Infinity. Confirmed characters include Alice Mifune (voiced by Ikumi Nakagami), Noriko Hibino (voiced by Mami Tamura), Kenichi Kanzaki (voiced by Tarusuke Shingaki), and Maasa Muramasa (voiced by Hiromi Igarashi).

When you battle repeatedly, your Encounter Gauge increases, which makes it easier to encounter stronger enemies. You can choose whether or not to fight, but they drop better items. Within dungeons, you can leave messages—likely fixed phrases—for other players.

Story character design is being handled by Tetsu Kurosawa, and player character design is being done by Yen Oxiji.

The game will launch on January 23 in Japan.
