16 minutes of Guild 02 gameplay

The monsters come out on Friday.

4Gamer has published a 16-minute gameplay video of Guild 02

The title Guild 02 is more so a banner than it is a name. It features three games from four creators. But unlike Guild 01, which released in Japan last year with all four of its games on a single cartridge and later as separate 3DS eShop downloads, Guild 02 titles are 800 yen eShop-exclusives.

They include:

  • 0:00 to 7:34: The Monsters Come Out on Friday (Kaijuu ga Deru Kinyoubi) by Kazu Ayabe – A heart-pounding drama set on the familiar streets of Showa.
  • 7:34 to 11:15: Insect Tank (Mushikera Sensha) by Keiji Inafune – In a corner of World War II, an epic battle unfolds between a small tank and insects.
  • 11:15 to 16:01: Starship Damrey (Uchuusen Damrey Gou) by Takemaru Abiko and Kazuya Asano – A new game style where user guides and background knowledge are absolutely unnecessary.

Just as the games from Guild 01 released outside of Japan, it’s likely the Guild 02 games will, too. Starship Damrey has already been rated for an Australian release.

Watch the clip below. View a new set of screenshots at the gallery. If you click through to our archived images, you’ll find expanded screenshot sets for each game.

All three Guild 02 games are now available on the Japanese 3DS eShop.
