Digimon World Re: Digitize Decode Japanese release date set

New character Rina Shinomiya and her partner Veemon revealed.

Digimon World Re: Digitize will hit 3DS in Japan on June 27 for 5,480 yen, the latest issue of V-Jump reveals.

A new character, Rina Shinomiya (voiced by Haruka Tomatsu), is also revelaed. She turned up in the Digital World after a hole in the space-time continuum suddenly opened. There, she and her partner Digimon Veemon meet the protagonist. She is usually quiet, but has strong beliefs deeper down. Her partner is a Digimon with a strong sense of justice, but who can also be mischievous.

Also shared are new details on the “Scheming Demon King” story, which is one of the two new chapters added to the 3DS version. Provoked by Barbaramon, who aims to take over the Digital World, Daemon, Lilithmon, Belphemon, Beelzemon, Lucemon FD, and Leviamon have begun stirring. When the protagonists run into them at the mystery area that appeared in the tower, the story heats up.

A western release for Re: Digitize Decode has not been announced.
