Anarchy Reigns launched in North America

Sega and Platinum brawler finally touches down overseas.

Anarchy Reigns, Sega and PlatinumGames’ multiplayer brawler launched last July in Japan, made its debut in North America today for $29.99. The game will arrive in Europe and Australia next week for £19.99 / €29.99.

The game offers 16 playable characters (17 if you get the Bayonetta pre-order bonus), a two-sided story mode, and multiplayer modes like Tag Team, Battle Royale, Death Match, Capture the Flag, and Survival.

“We are excited to see the game reaching the Western audience,” said Atsushi Inaba, Executive Director and Producer at PlatinumGames.

Anarchy Reigns is an ambitious project for PlatinumGames, as we wanted to challenge ourselves by creating a new genre, Multiplayer Brawling. You could play the game as a one-on-one fighter, but Anarchy Reigns truly comes alive when multiplayer characters are locked in chaotic battles. We look forward to global anarchy online once everyone gets a hold of the game.”
