God of War: Ascension multiplayer beta begins January 8

Watch the new 'Evil Ways' multiplayer trailer.

The God of War: Ascension multiplayer beta will be available to PlayStation Plus members on January 8, Sony has announced.

Those who participated in Sony’s ‘Rise of the Warrior’ and belonged to the winning Spartan team will have early access to the beta starting today. The losing Trojan team will gain access on December 16. Your codes can be redeemed at GodofWar.com.

The beta will include the game’s signature Team Favor of the Gods mode, as well as the yet-to-be-seen Favor of the Gos Mode (the former mode without teams). In both modes, players will kill, open chests, and capture domination points to receive the highest number of favor points from the Gods. A tutorial level will also be included.

For more information, visit the game’s beta page here. Watch a new multiplayer trailer below.
