Devil’s Third rights returned to Valhalla

Now without publisher, in "final stage" of development.

After announcing that it would drop Devil’s Third, THQ has said today that rights to the game have been returned to creator Tomonobu Itagaki and Valhalla Game Studios.

“THQ confirms that the company will not be publishing Devil’s Third,” the publisher told Eurogamer. “All of the game’s IP rights have been returned to Itagaki-san and the Valhalla team.”

According to Itagaki, speaking to the latest issue of Famitsu Xbox 360, the game is in its “final stage” of development. The team needed to spend “a great deal” for advertisements, but “it wasn’t fit for [THQ’s] mid-term plan.”

Hopefully, Valhalla will find a new publisher soon.
