Nintendo has announced Nintendo Land, a game that gathers attractions based off the company’s most beloved franchises in a Nintendo theme park for your Mii to visit, for Wii U.
The game will feature twelve attractions, five of which are playable at E3. Those attractions are: The Legend of Zelda: Battle Quest, Animal Crossing: Sweet Day, Luigi’s Mansion: Ghost Hunt, Donkey Kong’s Crash Course, and Takamara’s Ninja Castle.
Nintendo wants visitors from all around the world to gather together in the theme park via Miiverse. More details on that aspect will be share during tonight’s developer roundtable.
The game can be played with the Wii U Gamepad and Wii controllers. The Gamepad player takes on a special role, and sees each attraction from a different perspective.
A demo for Luigi’s Mansion: Ghost Hunt was shown on stage. A multiplayer affair, it features several Mii characters walk down hallway and searching for a ghost they cannot see, the objective being to shine their flashlights on the ghost to damage him. The Gamepad player is the ghost, and can see all players at all times. His goal is to survive.
Nintendo Land will debut for Wii U this holiday season as a launch title.
